How to encourage questions
When we started asking our own questions, the kids became more comfortable asking theirs.
- Let children know that they’re welcome to ask any question, now or in the future.
- Emphasize that there are no bad questions, and that no topics are off limit.
- Share a question of your own to gently encourage your child to ask theirs.
I’m wondering why someone who never smoked died of lung cancer?
- Thank them for being brave enough to ask their questions.
